About The Global Santé Journal

Global Santé Journal logoThe Global Santé Journal is a new online medical journal focused on the treatment of infectious diseases (HIV, malaria, TB) that will be published and translated into the languages of the developing world. The journal will seek content from both Western and local academics working in developing countries. While medical journals play a critical role in the Western medical world, both to incentivize medical academics to pursue research and to disseminate cutting-edge insights to practitioners, the medical community in the developing world is virtually cut off from the important exchange of knowledge that the Western journals afford. This disenfranchisement prevents adequate dissemination of information and thus optimal progress from being achieved in the fight against infectious diseases in Africa, Latin America, and other developing regions. The purpose of the journal is to address the need for quality medical articles focused on the treatment of infectious diseases in developing countries and to bridge the communication gap between academics and practitioners in the developing world with their counterparts worldwide. The journal will effectively disseminate knowledge to those that need it most by enabling the availability of high-quality medical articles to practitioners in the developing world, providing the opportunity to publish currently undocumented research of academics in the developing world and translating these articles into the most relevant local languages.
